02 Rodeo No A/c

Ok....02 Rodeo with 2.2 and 5 speed The A/C works off and on for 2 days then quit completely. I jumped the compressor relay and the pressures were perfect. The "On" switch sends power to the thermostat and it closes. The low/high pressure switch has 5 volts coming from PCM but I could not test it so I replaced it($120). The only thing left is the power sterring pressure switch or the PCM. How do I test the Power ster switch??? Do PCM's fail like this??? No check engine lights and it runs normal( slow and noisey)

YES...........I fix a/c for a living sometimes. This thing is very complicated...it all goes back to the PCM...it thats not happy it ain't gonna work.

Today adventure in Rodeo hell had me bypass the thermostat relay. System came on and a/c worked great...until I pulled the jumper. It looks like all the common wires for the relays go through the PCM. I checked the power steering pressure switch and it is shorted..."0" Ohms. I ran a wire right from the 'On" switch to the thermostat relay to turn on the system without any ice up protection....its freaken hot out so ice is not a problem yet. It takes over a week to get non-stock parts fore Isuzu???? Is the any on line source for parts???

Call up st. charles isuzu (see the faq's for their number)

Try switching the headlight relay with the compressor relay. That 7 dollar problem costed me hundreds.

DON'T over charge these systems either. The compressor will leak internally and if you hear the buzzing of this vein pump you will be forced to buy another.
