2002 Barvada won't start HELP!!!!!!!

This Bravada has been in the shop numerous times in the past for this problem. First they thought it was the neutral saftey switch (replaced). Drove for a few days and bam it does it again. Towed back to the shop and they can't find the problem...they towed it to a dealer and the dealer replaced the starter relay. We have drove it for awhile now and it has times that it didn't want to start, but messing with it for awhile and it started. This time the wife was stuck at work and it won't start. It's like the lights are on and no one is home...All the electrical light up and works but, it won't turn over at all. Hope someone has some kind of a idea what might be wrong. I have owned many Oldsmobiles and the main problem I've found was the computer goes haywire. I beginning to think this might be another one. But, the cost of replacing it is very high.

Does your Bravada have a remote starter or security system on it?

It does nothing at all...everything works other then it won't turn over. I did replace the starter relay today but, that didn't help. :banghead:

Kinda sounds like a bad starter/solenoid contacts doesn't it?
I had to replace the whole starter recently on my '97.

Well, then you'll have to go some digging. Take apart the bottom of your dash and find the starter wire (usually bign yellow or purple wire) Check to see if it gets 12v when cranking. Also, check the ignition wires too (usually pink and white wires) to see that they keep 12v when cranking. Dont worry about the accessory wires.

If that checks out then you'll have to get under the car to the starter itself and do the same check. Once you do that, come back here and report what you find.

could be the security system, i had a no start situation caused by the pass key security system that i bypassed for under a buck in parts. so much for security. check out this site:
