I have a Trans Am body I would like to put on a chevy truck 4x4 frame to use in the mud. The wheel base of the T/A is 108". Im wondering which fullsize chevy truck frames will fit this wheel base. Im assuming the short box chevys and blazers will fit but would like some corroboration of this. Could use a ford frame as well if any of those are closer in measurement. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Steve

Well a S10 blazer 4 door WB is 107 that's like '73 -02 or present. "69-'72 is 104. A Ford Ranger PU is 108 short bed 114 long bed. These might not be exact, these came out of my head and a lot has gone in to my head and pushed a lot out and I don't do my own straightening on a frame machine any more I farm all that work out now but I think I am close.

I should also add that I would like to put a chevy 350 or ford 302 in this vehicle. I know its possible with the s10 blazer but wouldnt it be easier to use a full size blazer frame or is it too long?

Well the old model Blazer frames has a WB of 104 the new S10 Blazers has 107 or 106.5 depending on which manual you are looking in or how good you are converting metrics. A Suburban and a Tahoe runs about the same to I think at 116. So as you see the S10 has a longer WB than the older short boxed Blazers.
