for the last couple of weeks my jimmy has been hard to start leaving me stranded a couple of times. sit for an hour or so and it fires up after about 5 cranks. then it wouldnt start at all. could not hear pump priming the system and presure at the schrader valve was 20 psi and so i thought first to change the pump, I did that last night and i can now clearly hear the pump priming, {could not hear it before} and the presure is back up, but still wont start up.But it is getting gas to the manifold, {schrader valve} I might note that it does run for a second when spraying starting fluid into the throttle body, but then dies:banghead:

welcome to AF.
try this, put the pressure guage on the shrader valve, start the truck and check the pressure, then turn the truck off. check to see if the fuel pressure drops of right away. if it does, you probably have a leak in the nut kit (inlet and outlet fuel lines in the intake manifold) or a leaking fuel pressure regulator. pull the vortec cover and imtv off the manifold and look down in there for clean areas caused by leaking fuel.

Well it turns out that the gallon and a half of fuel i put back into the tank wasnt enough, I put another 2 gallons in the tank and fired right up. thanks for the help guys.runs great.
