Turn signal switch

Left turn signal fails to turn off when the steering wheel returns to center. Parts store quotes switch at $87.00. Is it really that expensive? Or are they looking at the wrong part?

It's probably because the multifunction switch handles everything from lights to signals to wipers; it's a complicated piece.
Easy to replace though.

Its not the switch - its a $2 spring inside the cancel cam.
The parts store sells the kit for $11 I believe but you only need to replace the two springs inside.
Pull the steering wheel and the lock plate (using a puller) and you will see what I am talking about.
The part they quoted was for the actual switch INSIDE the column not the stalk itself. You can get the stalk for around $45.
What year jeep?

Same thing, different air bag. Disconnect battery before removing air bag and steering wheel.
