Jetta is acting up. HELP!!

alright, so here's the deal. when I get into the jetta and put the key in and turn the key, the car just goes "tick tick tick" and the engine wont start. along with that, when i try to start it an alarm goes off on it that I didn't even know i had!! :banghead: Can anyone help me!!

Sounds like the starter is dead.

did you replace the battery? or desconected it?
Do you have check engine light?

It hapens to me......
I just eliminated the alarm.....
