Check Tranny light

Just got a 92 rodeo 2wd v6 for my daughter. I don't have much history on the vehicle other than it had a new transmission. I found the ABS light CEL and check TRan light on. I found that the TCM wire to the tranny was unplugged along with the O2 sensor. I plugged them in and the CEL went out. The ABS light was much harder. I replaced the speed sensor in the DIFF. and the light went out for couple of days. Next, I went thru all the manual diag steps from the ALLDATA book. (I could not find the ALDL for ABS) I found not problems. So, I replaced the Altenator. The problem has gone away. The check tranny light is the real problem. I took it to a transmisson shop and they said it was the AT speed sensor. They replaced it but the problem has come back. Heres the twist. If I drive for 10 to 15 minutes the light goes out and the tranny works fine. Also if I have been driving for a while and stop the engine and restart the light stays off. I think its something to do with temperature expansion. Any ideas on what to look for?

i suggest you take it to a shop (dealer?) that has the correct Tech-1 scanner to read the trans codes. the scanner indicates more than just a code. if you have the alldata info, which is essentially the factory manual online, there should be lots of info there on this. i don't know, but there may also be a diag tree for this temp related problem. the 4L30E automatic transmission has two iirc two temp sensors that send info to the trans computer TCM.
