nice avatar:wink: everyone says they want a car thats good on gas but comeon what would you really rather have there is nothing like a v8 engine.Also...dodge and chrysler are doing the same so is chevy etc. Really how much better per galon are the imports and how is fuel efficency measured is it under real driving conditions or on some kind of treadmill?ugh I must stop...:banghead:

By laying people off, Ford is getting out of their healthcare and pensions. Then they can build even better vehicles becuase they have more money.
Ford isn't going anywhere, Ford around the world is doing much better than Ford North America.

It's to the point where I can't say I'd want to support a 'car company' that doesn't give it's employees health and Pension. You don't think it costs $15K to have robots build a car when we had actuall humans building them for less than $3K 30-40 years ago, do you? It's profit-taking, plain and simple, and it's detestable.
