I've heard a little bit of them before. Yeah, they are heavy, but I didn't think it was that great. Maybe it was the uber high pitched screaching vocals, and the intrumention didn't thrill me.

I saw something on VH1 Classic once where they set the world record for being the loudest band ever. 160 f-ing decibels, on par with a jet engine at full throttle. Most bands play at like 110-120 I think. Thats means that their sound is over 1000 times more intense than anybody else. That's just insane. How can they/their fans still hear?

God, are they still around?? I saw them a few times 20 years ago at a local club. I think that was around the time they started holding the title of "Loudest Rock Band." I also remember there was a battle at the time for the title with rival rock band "Immaculate Mary" to see who was louder. Saw both bands a few times, can't really remember who was louder,( hey blame it on old age, I turn 40 next week:eek:  )

yes, loudest band ever! they're very orchestral, in touch with opera and classical scores; a very old style metal.

Please refrain from using the term "old style" around me as it makes me feel my age:grinyes: Actually that's the metal I grew to love in the '80s and saw MANY concerts back then. (I even attribute my slight hearing loss to all those great concerts. Lie a friend once said to me you can judge how great a concert was by how many days it takes to get the "buzz" out of your ears and hear normal again. And no, my slight hearing loss is not from old age:icon16: )
