1990 eclipse engine swap

I got a 1990 eclipes with a 1.8L and I was thinking about putting in a 2.8L in it. Will it work with the 1.8L tranny?

Tell me where this 2.8L motor is coming from. Because there is no 2.8L for our cars.

sorry about that I was confused with another car I meant 2.6L will it work with the 1.8L tranny or even fit

What the hell is this other motor coming out of? This is seriously not something you should be considering doing. You need to research first and learn what motors came in it before saying you wanna throw a 2.8 or 2.6 or whatever in it... Also the moderators will probably move this thread to the performance section like I told you to put it in. But don't make another because they will just forward the link.
