Hi,

I've ordered one of these beautiful cars (always wanted a Z and now)...Performance model, Silverstone, all access except nav system. My dealer says it looks like I'll be in the next batch they receive in September. My question for those who have already picked up theirs or will soon is your thoughts on purchasing an extended warranty?

My dealer sent me several brochures on the Nissan upgrade warranty plans ranging from 48 mo up to 84 mo (the Z comes with a 36 mo warranty standard). Quite confusing actually. I usually don't get the extra warranty however this being a "1st run", I'm seriously considering it.

And then there is the Lo Jack option that they'll try to sell me...

Appreciate any opinions.

Ken

You will never get the car in Septembr if you just ordered it. Orders placed now anre due to be delivers in January. Given the fact it takes 8 weeks to ship the car, let alone the time to build it.
As far as the extended warranty, depends on what they are tryin got get for it. You usually have the option of extending the warranty just befre yours expires (36 months) and its usually cheaper.

I ordered the car back in early March 2002 and my dealer has said that mine will be in the batch that comes in during September. Of course, that remains to be seen.

Anyone have experience with lowjack and alarm packages that include lowjack?
