The problem is when this thing gets started up when its cold it will start then dies. then you have to crank it repeatedly and pump the throttle untill it fires up again I have replaced the fuel filter and the air filter. what could the problem be yall? :banghead:

How many miles on the engine? Overnight, if the injectors leak, the partial vacuum in the fuel tank will cause air to be sucked in through the injectors and into the front end of the fuel injection system. This can cause hard starts (or in your case, restarts). Try slowly loosening the fuel filler cap after you shut off the engine -- any whooshing sound? That'd be the partial vacuum sucking in atmospheric air. This is a quick fix but cheaper than replacing the injectors. Downside to this quick fix is the moisture in the air (especially on humid days) would create a water-in-fuel scenario but a good add-on water-separator filter (e.g., Racor 645) will fix this problem.
Good luck!
