Whenever I try to watch a video online, no matter how short, it takes a LONG time for the vid to load. But when I try to load a web page, its as fast as it has always been. Is there anything I can do? I tested the bandwith on Cnet.com and it is consistently over 1000mps. Not terribly reliabe but still it doesnt make sense.

Check what CODEC the video uses and what CODEC pack you have installed.
If it's within a web browser window, search the page source for video files (*.wmv, *.avi, *.mpg etc) and copy and paste the link into your media player.
I highly doubt your connection is stable around 1000mps, maybe 1000kps.
