I believe it was Horsepower TV that did a spotlight on a company from Arizona that purchased rights and can cast any AMG, GM, Ford, Chrylser among other up to '86?. One special order was the LS6 454 but in aluminum to replace a shredded cast iron LS6 454 in a 70 something Chevelle.
Any one know what I'm talking about? I've been looking for information on them for about a year and have found nothiner and Horsepower TV never responded. Maybe I was dreaming or something one Saturday morning.

so did they buy original machinery from the automakers or just make their own versions but made the stuff to factory specifications?

They made it from factory specifications. Essentially what you get is brand new parts as if you had ordered from the factory in say 1969.

:naughty: I'd want the LS6 454 cast in aluminum w/matching aluminum heads. Ahh...the potential brute strength and power that could give you esepcially after turning into a 496, the right head work, dual 800's, headers, air gap intake and a few other changes...:naughty:
