Air Bag controller problems

I recently replaced air bags in a 2002 Malibu.

My research shows that the airbag control module (under passenger seat, under carpet) controls monitoring, crash sensing and deployment of the bags.

Does this system use external impact sensors? I cannot find any on the vehicle.

I have tried 2 used modules, and the original that deployed the bags in the first place. They all have a "DEPLOYMENT COMMANDED" trouble code.

Please help.

you have to replace the crash sensor too or (SDM) it's there the yellow connector is the give away.
