I have a 1998 Ford Expedtion and my wife was driving it and she said that the truck was idleing low. She was low on gas, so she put gas in it. I drove the car to see what the symptoms were. I checked the oil and it was out completely. I put oil in it but it still has a rough idle and dies out. Should I go to a local part store and see what codes I get?.........Never mind. It was a vacum hose on the top of the engine in the back.

Wow hey hold on. Did you get it fixed, I've been having the same problem and yet they haven't found where the leak is. If you found it please post it. I already spent $650 on changing parts and hoses...Is it the hose that connects to the top of the EGR VAlve? If so how do you obtain that item?

Tahnks.

To find a vacuum leak spray carb cleaner around the intake and hoses the motor will immediately smooth out when you hit a leak.
Hoses you can look at and replace any deteriated ones. Any parts store sells vacuum hose.

Wait!!!! Are you still having this problem?

I can take a quick picture of mine and post it here.

Also, I'm having this problem too, is there any easy way to open this thing up and get to that joint? Or am I going to have to take this to a shop.

Thanks

Put a copy of your picture on with a description of what you want to do? Hopefully somebody can help you. It might be better to start a new thread.
