1990 Aerostar wont Start...

ok i come home from School and when i leave School it cranks fine then a few hours later i tryed to crank it to go somewhere and its just clicked didnt even try to turn over... and im wandering what could be the problem in the past we have had some problems with starting it but we stop then crank it again and it works so im wanderin if anyone knows the problem... when we worked on it we tryed 2 batteries and they didnt work we arched them and they were hot so they werent bad and not to long ago i put a new Alternator and new spark plugs and wires in there so if anyone know the problem please post

A bad cell in the battery
Starter is binding (worn bushings in the starter)
Bad, corroded battery cables
