Hey Guys,
Looking at purchasing a 93 grand am, but need to replace the oil pan. How much of a pain in the ass is this? Car is $800, so not look to spend too much.
Thanks in advance.
Jon

Its not that hard to change the oil pan gasket.
Here is a link with the procedure(S) to remove the pan, you can deciede for yourself if its that difficult.
92-95 2.3L (http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/0e/50/1c/0900823d800e501c.jsp)
Scroll down to the middle of the page, where it says 92-95 2.3.
Good Luck

One thing they missed, if its a dohc motor there might be 3 bolts behind the timing chain cover that hold the timing chain housing to the oil pan. My 95 has them, what a nasty little suprise. There is no gasket around those bolts as they go directly into the pan with no fluid involved.
