I have two sets of Aoshima wheels I can use on my 350z and I was wondering which ones I should use. I have used pictures of the 1:1 with each set. Please vote.

AOSHIMA 1/24 Volk Racing TE37 White 19 inch

AOSHIMA 1/24 Lowenhart LD5LX 19 inch

If I use the TE37, I may change them from white to Gun Metal.

The color of my Z is Interlagos Fire.

Thanks for your input!

Whoever put those Lowenharts on that Z should be flogged.. (in my opinion anyways)

Anyway to get z-tune wheels other than from a kit?

It's in the R34 Nismo parts set from Tamiya. I believe the mounting methods are different between the 350Z kit and R34 wheels, but they can be modified.

Thanks Hiroaki. I really admire your work. You have a great site.

Do I have to strip the white finish off of the TR37's before I prime and paint them? Or can I just prime over them? I usually strip chrome with oven cleaner.

Thanks!

for the Nismo kit they're moulded in white plastic, no stripping required. but you'll need to modify the mountings inside the wheel to allow them to fit if you use the Tamiya set.

if you post in the Classifieds looking for a set of Aoshima Z-Tune wheels someone may be able to help, as far as i know the 350Z's humb will mate up fine with Aoshima/Fujimi wheels.

Definatelyy TE37s or Z-Tunes. NO LOWENHARTS!! Like it was said before, leave the Lowenharts for a VIP.
