New Waterpump Now Doesn't Cool Well

OK, I installed a new water pump on my wife's 97 SE, bled the air, and now the air only blows cold on passenger side and far right vent in center of dash. As I said, I have already bled the system through the bleeder on the thermostat housing. Is there somewhere else to bleed the system or is there possibly another problem?

The engine is a non supercharged 3.8 if that makes any difference.

Next problem: For some reason the trunk lid has began popping open quite often.Is there a transmitter or something that controls that?

You probably still have air in the system. This will result in the heater not working properly. Start the car and turn the heater on. Leave the radiator cap off. When the thermostat opens the air should come out of the system and you should see a drop in the coolant level. Refill with coolant and try this several times. This should cure the problem.

As for the trunk issue check the wiring for the button inside the glove box. It could have a short. The only other thing is the Body Control Module may be going bad.
