Trailer Class 3 Hitch

Hey all. I'm looking to get a Class 3 Hitch for my 01 Blazer. However, the only thing (unless I somehow purchase or boat or need to tow something else) that will be connected to it is a cargo carrier (for when I tailgate at sporting events and concerts), roughly 1-3 times a month. Since I'll be using it relatively infrequently and for a load no heavier than a cooler or two, I don't want to spend a lot of money on the hitch and cargo carrier.

Does anyone know where or how I could get a hitch and/or the carrier for a low price? Or, does anyone have any other cheaper suggestions for when I lug things around for tailgating?

Thanks for reading and any future help.

I would go with a cheaper lower class hitch if all you are going to use it for is tailgating except where it comes out the back get you some channel or angle iron and make you a class 3 receiver and weld it to the hitch instead of putting on a trailer ball. Then you can put a hitch in it to pull a small trailer or do your tailgating thing and you not spent that much money.

Check your local salvage yards for a used one.

I have a Reese on mine, and it bolts right up to the frame. Hidden hitch also makes a similar set-up. Even if the salvage yard doesn't have the receiver end, you can usually pick those up at Major Hardware Stores like Northern, Farm&Fleet, etc.
