ok, so i found this http://www.dsmsource.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=791&cat=all
And the guy seems nice, but i'm not to sure about buying 2nd had with DSMlink... the chip is burned for 720cc injectors, and mine are stock, soon to change to 950cc FIC... but you can hook up your computer and change the injector size right? also, he bough it from his friend... and would have to transfer w/ DSMlink.com from his friend (the original owner) to me. i guess my real question is, is this worth saving $140 on? the chip is burned for the cas inversion, and standered MAT... which is what i would need... my only real concern is about the forums, and the injectors:eek7: ... any info guys?

Well, it's up to you, you still have to get the ecu socketed. So you wont be saving as much. You can change the fuel trims back to stock but, if the battery ever gets disconnected you have to use a computer to reset them again. I say buy it new, but it's your money...

He still needs to get it socketed... I'm not sure how much that is though it might be cheap.

Since you said that I wouldn't buy it cause now something is going to be wrong with it.

It would be fine but if your car loses power and you don't have a laptop, you're not going anywhere

how do you go about changing the owner name? becuase the guy who is selling it, bought it from a friend, and its in his friends name, can i just contack DSMlink, and tell them i bought it, and they kick him off? because i REALLY want access to the forums, you know.

When i baught my dsmlink i had a friend use his credit card, when i got the email saying i have access to the forum i went on and it was under my friends name. So i messaged one of the moderators and told them what was going on and they said no problem and changed it over to my name.
Its as simple as that ;)

dsmlink forums probably have the most knowledgable DSM guys there is. There aren't any n00bs because if you have DSMLink you are definitely at a stage way past being a n00b. I think tuners has more wisemen, but they also have a lot of retards that dsmlink fourms don't
and yes they can give anyone access if you prove you bought it
