ok yesterday I drove the car home for about an hour and then a few hours later i went to go out and the motor would turn but not start. I checked the wires by putting a new plug on one and grounded it and it was fine. i took off the dizzy cap and turned the motor and the dizzy spun like it should of. I then sprayed starter fluid in the intake and it started right up. So i changed the fuel filter and that didnt work. When i go to start the car i hear a noise in the back which i am guessing is the fuel pump coming on. What should i do next im lost.

Find yourself a fuel pressure guage and measure the fuel pressure at the rail. Also, check the fuses to be sure that the fuse for the fuel injectors is good.
Since you know the car will run with starter fluid in the intake, you pretty know the car is not getting fuel into the cylinders. This is either lack of fuel pressure or injectors not allowing fuel into the cylinders.
