so basically my car hates me right now, so i hate my car. It was leaking oil and i got it into the shop thinking it was a rear main seal but it turns out to be something else so that was good. But when it was in the shop, the fuel pump went out so they had to fix that. she hates but hopefully that is the last of the problems for a while, but they are expected since she is 10 years old. hope your car loves you more than mine loves me.

Thats upsetting. Our Honda Odessy was giving us some weird troubles back a few months ago. Engine was sputtering.

But that never happened with the CRX, nope! Never!

It could always be worse. I could list all the little shit wrong with my car and make you feel better. But I don't want to get depressed right now.

Amen right there. There's so many small things wrong with mine right now. Just be thankful they nabbed the problem while it was already there at the shop rather than it crapping on you while you were out driving it.

Oh don't worry, i have all the little stuff too. i just wanted to get the big stuff first, now i will start fixing the little things like the antenna, etc. I pissed that the fuel pump ended up costing around $500 plus labor. Is that right? Oh and the oil leak ended up being from the intake gasket. I guess it could be worse though, but she is still my baby.

Sounds about right.. considering all the labor involved. They've gotta drop the exhaust and drop the rear axel just to get to the fuel tank. It takes a very long time and from what I hear is a complete PITA.

I know what you mean. Let's see:

Paint flaking off front bumper
Hood is scratched EVERYWHERE and rusting
Sagging suspension, car is tilted to the right
High beams don't turn off
Exhaust leak at header EGR provision
Need new tires
Need new brake pads
Window motor is wearing out
Car is quieter WITH HEADERS
Damn muffler shop WELDED cat to collector, cat to Y pipe and Y pipe to catback. WHOLE DAMN THING IS WELDED TOGETHER NOW! WTF were they thinking?
Headliner is starting to sag
Shattered glass in rear hatch
No jack in trunk

All I can think of for now....that's gonna be expensive.

lol I got the same problem here too man, so dont feel left out. I guess since I didnt specify that I wanted to actually be able to take my exhaust off in the future they figured why the hell not. Thats just completely ignorant. I eventually plan on getting my exhaust re-done anyway, because the place went to did a piss poor job, the welding looks like absolute crap.

Its F-ing frustrating, isn't it? I even gave them the hardware for the exhaust, and they only used 1 clamp, on the driver's side header. You'd think a muffler shop would be smarter than that. I think they owe me a new set of headers and y-pipe. Assholes!

Dont feel to bad man, i blew my trans and the fuel pump went and i had to get a tune up as well, and to top it off, all the damn electrical went. Lights, signals, radio, windows, starter! Everything and the battery was fine, so i had to get all new wiring. So my car loves me, cuz i fixed it all :)
