99 Camaro convertible interior lights HELP

I am unable to get my interior lights to come on when I open the doors. I have read the manual and done what it recommends. According to the manual the lights are programmed correctly, they just won't come on. The map lights come on using the switch. Anyone have similar problem

Fuse?

I have checked the fuses that the manual says are related to the lights. I suppose I need to check all of the fuses in the fuse panel. However, everything else is working.

Could be one of the switches in the door jamb is loose and creating a open in the circuit? :dunno:

I failed to mention earlier that the interior lights will not come on using the panel light dimmer switch either. :banghead:

does the bulb need replacing?

No, I don't believe the bulbs are burnt out. At least not the map lights, they come on with their switches, they just won't come on when opening the doors or with the other switch.
