92 maxima heat

i have a 92 maxima and the heat is pretty bad in it. I could let the car run for a 1/2 hour and the air just comes out warm. Also if I leave the dash vents open but have the setting on floor or defrost cold air comes threw the dash vents. Is there a hole somewhere my friend said it might be the thermostat? thanks

Passenger cold? -->push the accel
