ok well i will be changing the oil in my GTP in about 1700 more miles or so for the first time. i was wondering does synthetic oil really help, and work better as it is hyped up to? or shjould i just stick with the same old stuff i always do, castrol gtx 10w-30? thanks much. also a quick question about my pcm, can i have the shift points changed in it by just getting a power prgrammer or do i have to either have it totally reflashes or get a whole new one, thanks again.

Synthetic v. dino oil is a debated subject. In the end it will be down to personal preference. I use Mobil 1 syn with no problems in my GTP.
The power programmer will allow you to adjust shift points along with a bunch of other things but why spend that much when a re-programmed PCM is cheaper. Checkout ZZPerformance.
