Pull the airbag fuse on the side of your dash, or if you're THAT worried, disconnect the negative battery connection as well. I wouldnt know about 03+ but I'm pretty sure it should be the same....on my 98 there are 2 7mm bolts behind the wheel that release the airbag, then there is one large nut in the center of that, that holds the wheel onto the column.

awesome thanks,
do you know if it will cause teh check engine light to kick? and if so how to turn that off? also will I need any special hubs or anything like that..other than of course a standard hub which comes with a new aftermarket steering wheel? I heard somewhere you have to have an adapter of some sort..does anyone know anything about this?

If the airbag fuse is out, then the Airbag light will come on. I believe if you put the fuse back in then the passenger bag will still function and the light will go off, someone correct me if im wrong.
But yes, you're gonna need the Momo hub adaptor. It took me awhile to realize this myself, it will look like this...

...that is what the hub and aftermarket wheel sits on.
The momo adaptor is gonna run ya from $60 if you're lucky to about $80, there is this one on eBay however that is going for about $70 AND it comes with a wheel, so ya mine as well get this one here and get a free/spare wheel
