starting

when i start my 99 rodeo i get a click 3 or 4 times befor it will start. i cleaned the battery terminals and replaced the battery. i took it to get it looked at and they said there was nothing wrong with it. it never did this befor until recently. Also i want to replace my shocks, what will i need to replace along with them. thanks, rick

sounds like a classic dieing starter.

how many miles on it?

mine did it too. it will get worse until it won't start at all. if everything else is in good shape new starter solenoid contacts will probably fix your problem. or you can go the route i did and get a quality remaned starter.:2cents:

Or new at NAPA. Mines been good for a year or so.
