Hey guys,
Once again I'm bringing this up, I think this has been posted before but It has been a long time and I totally forgot about what it said. I have a DOHC ZC in my civic HB, I want to see if I can modify a Vtech onto my ZC. I'm not sure but if i change the head on my zc to a DOHC Vtech head I can make my ZC a Vtech. Tell me if I'm wrong, But if it is possible to exchang heads I could in actuality make my zc a vtech. I checked the spec's on DOHC Vtech's, and it seems they are close besides internals and compression they are similar shit i could be off my rocker. Dont get affended for the repeat but iam puzzled as well as interested in this issue. If it can be done or even theorized, I'm willing to try. Something to make my car stand out that much more amongest other civic's. But if another head can be exchanged on my ZC would it give me more power, besides the 88 or 89 integra non-vtech head. any info would greatly appreciated.
Sincerely:Ian

I've never seen a DOHC Vtec that was D series, all are B Series. There are SOHC VTEC heads that are D series. All i know is that D series parts fit on other D series and B series fit on othe B series

Bit my tongue on the VTech :p
The answer is no you can't. It's not physically possible based on the different desighns of B and D series engines.
Cheers

The DOHC ZC is a d series 88-89 teg engines are DOHC and d-series, sometimes they are a form of the ZC sometimes they are d16a1 which is a ZC just badged differently. You might already of known this but im just clarifying for everyone :)

Ian, What's goin on man? So the ZC's not fast enough for ya? Maybe one of these days when I can get a better job than Kroger I'll get me a ZC and then I can keep up with you. I'll bring the car by advance next time I see yours in the lot. God I need an engine dude, anything with more horsepower than this d15 thing. Maybe one of these days. later man.

LOL, "This d15 thing".
I'm confused, the integra ZC has less power than the JDM ZC.
Besides a turbo, and the usual that you can do to a motor, I think the JDM ZC is the best of the d series, non vtec motors. If you want to get rid of yours, I may be looking for one in the future.
