How 'bout them Bears!

I was quite happy to watch them stomp on the Packers earlier today. After Grossman's shitty performances during the pre-season I had my doubts about this year but if he keeps putting numbers up like he did today, espscially if he can convert more TD's in the red zone instead of FG's, then the Bears will go very deep into the playoffs.

BEARSSS!!!
Let the record show that the might Bears held Brett Favre to his first scoreless game as a starting quarterback in his 16 year career. This was also the first time the Packers have been shut out since 1991. The last time the Pack was shut out was also by the hands of the almighty BEARSSS!!!

MY GOD I WAS SOOOOOO HAPPY! 26-0!!! Bears D held them down pretty good. They still to work on there offense though. Robbie Gould seems to be doin great. I just hope the Bears will keep up the good work with some MINOR adjustments to the offense. I bet Bret Favre was stunned about the lost.

I wasn't too happy to see it. I'm a Packer's fan. :frown:
Oh well, we suck now, nothing you can do about it. I'm still sticking with them thick or thin.

^Damn right! Cubs pwn Sox I have pure hatred for anybody who claimed to be a Cubs fan then switched up after the Sox won the World Series. I have a Sox hat I bought a couple years ago and I refuse to wear it until the Sox DON'T win the WS this year... they're not even gonna make the playoffs
Only true fans root for their teams when they're trash. Remember the Bulls from 99-02? Sad state of affairs. Fuck Jay Williams
and btw I only have a sox hat cuz their logo is better lookin than the cubs. I know, I suck big time ballzak. If it makes it any better I have only 1 Sox hat vs 5 Cubs hats :dunno:

I like all Chicago teams and always will. We've gone through some pretty rough times as fans.

It was longer than 02. It went from 04 I believe. Before Scott Skiles came. Now we got a bad ass team with Big Ben on our side. We are definitely playoff bound team. I cant wait for the season to start!

We sucked past 02 but 02 was when I first had hope. Thats why I say FUCK JAY WILLIAMS!!!!!!! I hate Duke players in general. I like Luol, but he's part of the minority. 2002 was the year I officially predicted that the bulls would make a playoff appearance in the 2005 season. *pats self on back*

I never really lost faith in the Bulls. It just that there was too many changes in the office that got me thinking the organization is lost and started to crumble. Well John Paxson came in and fixed everything up. Hes a fuckin a genius along with Jerry Angelo.

Pax is a genius, this is true. Even though its hard not to look like a genius when you replace somebody like Jerry Krause :shakehead What a moron he was
But Jerry Angelo still has to prove some things to me. He did bring us such memorable players as Chad Hutchinson, Kurt Kittner, Jeff George (for a quick second  ), and Kordell Stewart. And thats just quarterbacks. Michael Haynes (a Jerry pick) was just released after he fizzed out, Cedric Benson is still a question when we could've had Cadillac Williams. He likes to trade away licks a lil too much. And until this year he showed no interest in providing us with a backup we could be confident in. (Much respect to Kyle Orton though for his management last year)
So Jerry Angelo is okay, but definitely questionable at times.

C'mon, it was the Packers. It'd be really bad if they didn't shut them out. Packers sucked last year and I bet they'll be worse this year. Farve should have done his retirement 2 years ago...
but nonetheless...go Bears!

Ok today Bears won but I was not happy at the offense. Rex has this problem of not taking a sack. Instead, he throws the ball away and ends up in the interception. I got really upset with him when he said all he can do is learn from his mistakes. Bullshit. He hasn't learned yet because he keeps repeating them! Ok yes fine we're 3-0 but if the offense continues to play like how they did today, they will not go far. Vikings have a good passing defense but thats about it. We should've ran the ball more.

I understand where youre coming from, but remember that the Vikings aren't some pushover team. This was going to be a defensive game all the way. I'm actually pleased with the way Rex played sunday. He made some Rex-style mistakes which is a :nono: but he didn't start bitchin and throwing his hands in the air. He came back on the next drive on a mission to prove that he has brains to go with his passing skills.
BUT, I'm VERY disappointed in our defensive tackling yesterday. The first half of the game was not very impressive to me. I saw a lot of missed tackles all around. And I was also disappointed in the sloppy mistakes resulting in around 100 yards in penalties.
That horse collar call on Alex Brown was BS though.
Based on what I saw this week, I feel much better about Seattle coming to town for the night game next week. But watching the seabirds walk all over NYG and then smack em in the mouth on defense, this game will be a BIG test for our beloved BEARSSS

The Bears shouldn't have a problem with the SeaHawks. Yeah Urlacher mentioned about the missed tackles on his interview. Thats one of the main adjustments they had worked on during the off-season. Dan Wetzel is pissing me off. Go read his article on Yahoo. Hopefully Bears would shut him up by beating the contending teams.
