I'm about to change the fluid in my intrigue but I'm having second thoughts. I was going to drain the rad and then disconnect the outlet hose from the engine. Throw the water hose into the coolant reservoir and run the engine until I see clean water from the outlet hose. Then fill the system with 50/50 dex cool? Does anyone see a problem with this procedure?

It would be helpful to post which engine you have. 3.5L or SII 3800 so members can weigh-in to help out.

just drain what you got, don't make more of a mess of it than you need to.
Use the specific gravity (ball floater) thing to test the anti-freeze (once new antifreeze is almost in) since it's getting closer to winter and you may need that freeze protection. Don't want to break the aluminum block 3.5L either due to freezing the engine up.
