97 Grand Am gt interrior lights

I have just purchased a 97 grand am gt and it only has a couple of problems.

1. the interrior lights don't shut off on the time delay i was told it needs a new relay where is this relay located or what else could be the problem.

2. the lighter does not work. The fuse was pulled for the interrior lights would this cause the lighter not to work??

generaly speaking the fuse for the lighter works for the locks. if your car has a car alarm the illuminated sequence might be off or triggered differntly from the changing codes of the security system. just try replacing the fuses that have to do with the interior lights and the cig lighter (check your manual or the cover to the fuse box for what each fuse is) even if the fuse dont look blown it might be
