hazard lights dont work!

The hazard light switch on my 97 chevy silverado 1500 constantly gets jammed. Im thinking about replacing the whole assembly. Does anybody know if its something I can fix myself ? If so can I fix the just the hazards switch without replacing the whole assembly ?
