1994 Altima GXE fuel in the oil

Have a recurring problem: car will idle roughly, sometimes stall, will blow white smoke out the exhaust and there's a strong smell of fuel in the engine compartment and in the oil on the dipstick with a rising oil level.

I've replaced the distributor cap and rotor, plugs, wires, cleaned the EGR, replaced the EGR control solenoid, replaced all the emissions control vacuum tubing, replaced the fuel injectors and had the intake manifold gasket replaced.

Ideas????

most likely id say youve got yourself some blown piston rings. do a compression check.

Burned anti-freeze makes a thick hovering cloud of white smoke.

Another way you can get too much fuel other than injectors is sucking fuel through the vacuum hose connected to the fuel pressure regulator that has a leaking diaphram.

Charcoal cannisters can become filled with fuel and would cause a strong fuel smell under the hood. The fuel still has to pass by the rings to get into the oil.
