Temp Sensor (in dash)

asharp again.

i couldn't edit the name. sorry. but my i need to detiermen if my clutch is going out. theres two things im concerned about

1. in first gear it takes a lot of pressure/force to get the shift knob into first and then

2. GOING INTO second gear it sounds like im griding the gears but the pedal is all the way to the ground. its almost like the gears out out of line? but i don't know im a newbie to vw i've had mine maybe 3 months

had mine taken in, they said it was my alignment gear and that i would have to replace the whole transmision. WOW.

soloution: double clutch or shift .. wait... the continue shifting untill the gears can catch up.

your clutch is bad... i see this all the time on manual 2.0 golf and jetta

i don't doubt your smartness or knolladge at all but.. how come its only between first and second gear if my whole clutch is bad? the clutch isn't slipping at all.

I dont know why it happens but all I know is that I have had that same issue with 3 2.0L mk4 vehicles and all 3 times the clutch either blew up or a rivet broke. Replaced the clutch and pp and tob and fixed the problem.
It may be because the most torque is needed to shift 1-2 and the clutch is used the most at that time. all in all you need to remove the transmission to inspect the clutch.
