Vibration problem

96 Camaro RS V6 3.8L 110 K.

When I'm driving above 50 MPH, I can feel vibration from the front end of the car.

Does that mean it's the problem of the front suspension or steering? Can we eliminate the chance of a driveshaft problem? A lot of people are talking about aluminum driveshaft.

Thank you!

Rotated and balanced your tires yet? Sounds like the problem to me.

Definitely sounds like a tire issue. It could be more than just a balance, however. It could mean a tire is separating, which could lead to tragic results. I'd get it looked at if I were you (RS crazy). Take it to a Discount Tire, they'll check it for free.

Silicon212,

Thanks for your reply!

Separating? Sounds horrible. But I just have my tires changed. I got two new tires for the front wheel and rotated them to the rear, then I did a balance for all of the 4 wheels.

Shop may have overtightened the lugs and warped the rotors.

OR, the weights used for balancing weren't on right and fell off.

OR, the lugs are loose and you susequently have a loose wheel

Check your lugs, and take it back. Especially since they put 2 tires new on the front where the problem exists.
