my left rear brake leaks fluid pretty quickly once i fill it. it leaks out right from the wheel. this a caliper or maybe more serious. when i fill it, it has a littlt pressure for awhile, but after a bit none.

You could have a number of things wrong at the break caliper.
1-Fill break cylinder with fluid
2-Take off tire
3-have someone apply break while you inspect the break line, the caliper bleader(if this leaks try to tighten 10mm wrench) and caliper piston rubber boot gasket.
I think that those three areas pretty well cover it if you see break fluid at back tire.
Note if caliper boot gasket is leaking you can repair with repair kit.
U CAN DO IT GOOD LUCK

What year is your Taurus? Do you have rear drum or rear disc brakes?

For rear disc brakes, what jshouse256 mentions is appropriate. If you have rear drum brakes, then you will need to remove the drum to see much if the brake line is not the culprit. However, if you remove the drum, you will not want to apply any pressure to the brake pedal with the drum removed.

You need to identify (look at the various components) exactly where the leak is coming from and then replace the parts. autozone.com has free repair guides available with pictures. Go to the library to get or purchase a better detailed repair manual.
