bubbles in gas filter

hi guys i have a 350 engine in my ta when its running at operating temp i noticed bubbles in the fuel filter its a clear filter also when ishut the engine down the filter drains downit starts ok runs fine i also noticed red stuff in the filter i cleaned the filter when i drive the car for awhile the redish stuff comes back then the car runs abit rough any help please

redish stuff? it could be rust clogging you filter. what year is this car?

my caris a1980 ta i store the car during the winter yes its possible that it could be rust in the tank and or lines i blew out the lines but the redish stuff comes back

when I was working on a '77 jeep cherokee I had the same problem with the filter. It took changing it a couple of times to fix it. how long has this been going on?

Rusty tank for sure. It will only get worse.
You may be able to drain the tank, remove it, remove the fuel pick up access plate and wash it out with a high pressure washer. With lots of work you can blow the rust loose.
However, if the tank is badly rusty, it will start to leak. At best, the rust may come back in a year or two.
It is posbile to get the tank professionally cleaned out then coated with a rustproof material for about $150.
You may be able to drain the tank, remove it, remove the fuel pick up access plate and wash it out with a high pressure washer. With lots of work you can blow the rust loose.
However, if the tank is badly rusty, it will start to leak. At best, the rust may come back in a year or two.

pulled tank out drained it found alot of rust in like mud i flushed it out good until the red stuff stoped coming out thanks

and thats why im getting a new tank for my project. my 35 year old one is kinda iffy
