Monte Carlo Car Clubs?

Im considering starting either a Monte Carlo car club or a SS car club for all Chevy SS vehicles. I checked online and could not find any in my area, my area being south Georgia. Besides a website what else would I need to start one? I figure I will place a small ad in the local paper to spread the word. I do not want to make any kind of profit but I would like to maybe charge $20/yr to cover the t-shirt and decal each member would get and also to help cover the monthly charge of the website (around $10/month) although I would be covering most of that myself. One other thing I am curious about is the use of Monte Carlo or SS in the name of the club. Can I do this without Chevy's permission? Or do I need to get permission and if I do, what are the chances of me getting it without paying for it?

Thanks for any insight you guys might have!!!

I dont think Monte Carlo or SS are registed/trademarked or whatever so you wouldnt have to use permission to use that.. plus its a club.. nothing else.

The running an ad in the paper is a good idea too, I dont think you're missing much, but to spread around the word easier i'd make a sticker and put on the back of your Monte Carlo with the website name on it to advertise while you drive.

Yeah. I am going to take the next couple of days and try and come up with a name/design and then head to the local shopin town that does custom stickers/decals and have them make me one up.

Is the $20/yr per member ok? I dont think that would be asking too much considering that I will have a shirt/decal/email address per member when they sign up. The hosting company I am looking at gives 250 emails with the account so I figure along with the shirt/decal I mentioned in the first post I would also give out an email address too.

Here are a few logos I have been messing with for the site/club. I am no photoshop expert so believe me, I do not think it is great BUT it aint horrible. I still have not heard back from chevy on use of their names/logos for a car club so I am just messing around until I do hear back.

20 a year sounds reasonable especially if it is nonprofit.

Well I am not sure how many members to expect so I am guessing low numbers. If it is higher I could probably go like $15. Like I said though I would want to have a shirt and a decal for each member and also I will be covering the monthly charge of the website where each member will get an email address too. So I do not think it is asking too much to do all that.
