Alright guys, I have almost finished my CRX's body work (I still have to order tail lights) and I am fixing to buy my B16A1 engine.. I am choosing this because of the ease of the swap ! I wanted to do a B18C but money is an issue right now. So This is what I am with: B16A1 with OEM ECU, Y1 tranny, all wiring, all sensors intact, axles, manifolds, etc.. basically everything it needs to run. I have prepared to order my Hasport B series 4th gen. mounts and I have just a few questions for you guys... Since I have the 1988 CRX DX (dual point injection) and not multi-point (HF or Si), what modifications do I have to do ? I mean, if I have all wiring and B16A1's OEM ecu, why would I need to be worried about my car being dual-point and not multi-point ? I haven't had anyone tell me what the big deal is... also, while the engine is hanging on the lift, what are some things I should do before dropping it in ? Oil change, timing belt, misc belts, etc.. ? Thanks guys.. I apprciate it. I am planning on ordering my engine form "HondaMotorsOnline.com" if that helps. Also, can someone point me toward a good site that has pistons, rods, springs/valves, crank and a turbo kit ?

The type of injection thats on your current engine makes no difference what-so-ever.

Honda says to change the timing belt at 90k, so if the engine is anywhere near that, then I would suggest changing it while it's easy to get to.

As far as changing the oil, you might as well change it and the filter just in case. You don't know how long that motor has been sitting around.

You should probably check the other belts and change them if they are worn, again while its easy to get to.

For anything else, hopefully one of the real gearheads will have some advice.
