Hey guy's,
I have an 02 Olds Intrigue 3.5L. and I'm intersted in a cold air intake. It is almost impossible to find anything out there, unless you make one yourself or find it on Ebay.
I've been to most of the aftermarket sites like...K&N, AEM, Airaid etc. with no luck.
Does anyone know if you can cross refference from another vehicle or where you can buy one specifically for this car?
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance guy's.

That one is made specifically for the Intrigue with the 3.5, I dont know of anyone that has bought one on here or any other forum for that matter, but the pics look good, and the filter has good placement it seems. Its not actually a CAI, but an actual fenderwell intake, which is better as far as im concerned.
The price is good, you can get a little knocked off if you order it without a filter, and then buy a real filter, like a K&N, or one of the new dry high flow filter from someplace like AEM...I would recommend calling him anyway before you order, because I did order one long ago, but it was backordered for quite a while, so i ended up cancelling it.
I want someone to buy one of those and then give a full review, because I would love to have one at some point in my cars life, and shes not gettin any younger with almost 122,xxx on the clock.

You already have a OEM cold air intake with forced road air cold air from grille or fender area that is going to be hard to improve on.
If you install anything else make sure it is a true cold air intake from fender or grille area.
Why do you want to install a aftermarket air intake system?

the OEM setup is in a pretty good location for pulling cold air, ill give it that much, however the headlight blocks off most of the airflow, so i highly doubt its forced in very much.
an aftermarket intake such as the one i suggested is going to be better in a couple different ways.
for one it can flow a heck of a lot more air than the stock airbox could ever dream about flowing due to the smooth-walled piping instead of an open box with an accordian tube..which brings me to my next point
the air brought in with a smooth walled pipe-type intake is going to be a lot less turbulent than the air brought in with the airbox, meaning better MAF readings and possibly the ability to remove the MAF screen, for even more flow potential.
I think you will like the intake myself, the Shortstar has tons of potential, and what few mods ive done seem to have woke mine up a bit from what it was stock...i shouldve done the intake first though, because my high flow cat and u-bend delete are living up to their full pootential because im not getting any more air in:grinyes:
but if you do buy it, let me know, e-mail me if you can, because i dont always check back here very often
