I have an 04 silverado and im dropping a 383 stroker in it and im having trouble deciding on whether to go with a turbo or supercharger ive read way too much into this and was trying to find a good answer or at least someone in a similiar situation

Welcome to AF. Is this going to be pcm controlled or a complete carbed modded 383, if so what happens to all the trans controls and emissions components? Why not put a 50 state legal supercharger on your engine.

My only concern with STS is if you live in the Northern States, that get snow, you could damage the turbo. Turbos get very hot + very cold snow = reduced strength/cracking. Of course, STS denies this, but I personally wouldn't risk the 4K. Go with a Radix Magnacharger (http://www.magnacharger.com). Again, only my opinion.

Id go with the supercharger,u got instant boost with the turbo u gotta wait for it to wynd up....

Yeah, I could understand you concerns, but their turbos dont get as hot as engine compartment turbos, simply cause their in the open air. And another thing they are located in Orem, Utah. It gets really cold and snowy there too. But to each his own.
