To spray or not to spray (sort of...)

Which technique do you like to use the most?
I used an airbrush for a long time, but I moved to spray cans after reading an article in fine scale modeler. I think I've mastered the art of using a can, most of the time my bodies require little to no polishing, buffing, or "orange peel" removal. My real question is this: I'm looking into a few kits that i think would look good with two tone paint jobs, and using the technique I have now won't alow for this with out some really, really tricky manuvers. i just wanted to here your thoughts and techniques on which approach would yeild better results. I have no airbrush at this time but am considering in investing in one, both for modeling and body repair on my full scale items. I've worked with two Pasche airbrushes my father had, one single action, the other dual and seemed to get the hang of them pretty quickly, but it has been about 6 years since the last time I've used one. All i use is spray cans and find them to be perfect for what i do.
Tamiya i have found to be the best by a long way as there air/pressure/paint seems to be just right.
