Second build for the same customer who's getting the Galaxie, this'll be an early 60s Falcon with road racing livery. BTW, anyone got some reference pics of one? They were popular in Europe for road racing...

Couple of quick updates: went with a 2-tone paint scheme, as is often popular on 60s Falcons. The colour in the middle is GM Light Saphire Blue. Has just a hint of metallic to it. Please ignore the rough masking job near the trim, it'll be covered in BMF anyway. :D

Not a popular project I guess? :(

More updates. BMF Trimmed the center section--REALLY brought out the blue, looks great now. Engine is wired and fuel-plumbed. Interior's coming along, rollbar is in-progress.

289 out of an old Mustang. He wanted dual quads so I grabbed an old Chevy DZ302 intake and flipped it around :p

The body is really looking good but hard to see the actual colour. Can't wait to see this sitting on wheels.

Judging by the dash, it's an AMT kit(?) It's coming along great!! I rarely venture into the comp forum but this build was well worth it!:sunglasse

It's a resin body from Model Roundup, the rest of the kit is an AMT '61 Falcon Ranchero, yes.

Looks great so far, I've only got some pic's of '66 and '67 Falcons in Europe but thought you might like to see them anyway, also included one of '65 Galaxie and Fiat Abarth 850TC at Snetterton, superb!

Thanks for the pics, I love vintage road racing. Interior was where I was most concerned, but I found a few reference pics to help out.

For those who wanted a pic that captures the colour better, here's a quick mockup of body-on-chassis for ride height:

And now with the slight rake, as requested by the customer. Front air dam is also mocked up. Sorry for the poor pics, these are just quickies to show off ride height and such. :p

This is just getting better and better. Where are the rims from? Do you sell this body by any chance in your business?

Some japanese kit, I honestly can't recall. Perhaps an old Celica or Corolla. Chrome stripped and painted of course.
