2002 monte carlo
3.4 v 6 engine
The transmission on this model is electronically controlled. It does not have a vacuum controlled modulator valve.
I need to know what componet is used to control this. That componet is controlled by vacuum I am fairly sure but don't know what it is. I have had to trace wiring since the manufactor has not released that documentation as yet or I have not been able to find it as yet.
Does anybody have this information.

There are several solenoids in the trans that control shift functions, tcc lock up and trans internal pressures, what are you looking for your question is not clear. A website such as alldata.com has all the wiring and tech info related to these functions. What do you mean by what component control " this"?

The problem turns out to have been a plugged up calalytic converter. Once this was corrected the car has plenty of power, the transmission will shift and I am able to drive it again.:iceslolan
