My greddy catback just rusted out and dropped on me last night.what i need to know is this...I am NOT into racing unlike the owner of the car before me so HP is not that big of deal, also i may be selling the car in the near future due to it being impracticle for a family car.I do need to put a new catback system into it but would like to spend the least amount possible without getting junk.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Oh yea its a 97 prelude.
thanks,
t1ck

It would most likely be cheaper to have a muffler shop do you're exhaust. Depending on your area, the price can vary. Mandrel bent pipes are more expensive than the restrictive Crush bends but like you said, you're not all about performance, so the cheaper crush bends might benefit you. If the muffler is still good you might be able to salvage that and reuse it. Call different local muffler/exhaust shops, and price it out. I would stay away from buying a whole new catback exhaust system, especially if you're even considering to sell it. Honestly they're too expensive. That's just my :2cents:

Get an OEM unit at a junkyard, it should be less than $100.

Try finding the oem exhaust, and if you can't, try going to a mechanics shop and see if they build custom exhaust. You can have one built pretty cheap.
