Dauer 962 LeMans vs. Koenigsegg CCX Top End

Hey, I've got a question for you guys....The Koenigsegg CC supposedly has a drag coefficient of .30, making it the most aerodynamic car in the world. And its got a 806 hp engine that can drive the car to 240 mph. Now the Dauer 962LeMans has less horsepower(750 hp), but it reaches just over 250 mph. So my question to you is that... Is the 962LM more aerodynamic than the very aerodynamicly styled CC?
Looking at both cars I'd say that the CC is more aerodynamic because of its cleaner shape

but the 962's got less hp and hits 251, so I'm thinking its got to be alot smoother than a CC....and well, is it?

i really wish people actually bothered to get a few facts straight before posting.
quite a few cars have a lower CD figure.

oh, true I forgot about cars like the '89 Calibra which had a cd of .26, and others, but anyway I'm sorry, what I meant was that the CC is pretty aerodynamic when compared with other supercars like the Enzo (.35 cd) or Carrera GT (.39 cd). So, Is the 962 faster because its more aerodynamic?

All of those cars create a lot of downforce to maintain grip on the road at high speeds. There is many cars that do better than that (like Vette at .28-.29), in fact most production cars are in the .33-36 area (low cd = good for gas mileage).
So, Is the 962 faster because its more aerodynamic?
Supercars.net reports the 962s cd as .31 so apparently not but top speed is more than just peak power and cd. Torque curve, gearing, and a number of other factors go into it as well.

I had to read that twice to make sure i didn't misread it...

hehe, yup :iceslolan Thats a good point, about gearing, and the car's powerband. Even with less hp, and less gears the 962 accelerates harder and goes faster. :naughty:
