98 Rodeo 4x4 not engaging

Have 98 Rodeo. Push 4x4 botton and nothing happens. 4x4 light on dashboard keep blinking.

Any idea where to start to find problem?

Either the xfer case actuator, front axle actuator, or control unit is not working right.

D/L a factory service manual from http://foto.afn.kz/x/Rodeo/99Year/ (98 and 99 would be the same). That should help walk you through what to check and how to do it.

I know of 1 control unit that has gone bad (protetypes '01 rodeo). After the xfer case locks in it should send power to the front axle actuator and his wasnt.
