Airbag replacement, anyone done this before?

So my airbags deployed and I'm looking at getting a used set to put back in doing the work myself. Problem is, I don't know much about replacing airbags.
I guess my big question is, what all needs to be replaced outside of the two bags themselves (if anything).
Do you have to replace all the sensors too or any modules? I was told the PCM had to be reprogramed by the dealer and a module under the passengers seat had to be replaced???????

u should just be able to replace the air bags and get away with it just remember to pull the 15amp fuse out of the fuse panel cause if u dont u risk the chance of setting off the airbags

I think you gotta replace the black/yellow coil thing as well

first thing make sure you disconnect the battery. You will need to replace both bags AND the pcm under the passenger seat. You have to remove the seat to access it. I've done dozens of them and usually get the bags and pcm for $150 bucks. Check around different yards, most of em will gouge you on them. If you have a Pull A Part salvage yard they're usually the cheapest but you have to remove them yourself.gl

Just an update on this.
Long story short, after ordering one set of bags that wasn’t for a 98 Cavalier as it was advertised, I got a correct set delivered and installed them today. Both bags, passenger side cover and the “black box” under the passenger seat were replaced. Paid $122.50 for all which included shipping.
All seems to be OK as they didn’t deploy upon reconnecting the battery and the air bag light has stopped flashing.
Thanks for the help and advice.
